New to Denver area, and surprised that all roads do not get plowed. Seems like a basic service.

It usually melts within a couple days. We really aren’t prepared for snow then a week of cold. I only halfway jokingly say that the City of Denver’s snow removal plan is called “the sun.”

Yep! I was greatly surprised by this when we moved here. Our neighborhood streets are plowed as it is included in our HOA, but I regularly see hilly side streets in our area that are a sheet of snow-turned-to-ice.

I think everyone is surprised but we pay lower taxes so it makes up for it. Denver in the last few years succumbed to pressure to try and get to the residentials eventually with knocking down the ruts to make them passable but that was the only a recent concession. My city doesn't do that so our street never gets plowed. I'm happy with the lower taxes we have here so not getting that service doesn't concern me. If I want to it is very cheap to pay a private plow provider to plow us out when we need it.

just a little bit of denial and all the snow goes away. Its mid January and mostly t-shirt weather.
10 days out but looks like there may be rain snow on the 23rd (January)

Not for Baby Boomers and older it's not! Long-sleeve shirts and jeans yet.

Well, here in northern Colorado, as in Loveland/Ft Collins area, we have seen sunshine, but also 24 plus inches of snow and days of mid 50’s and 30’s with mornings of 12 degrees. AKA northern Colorado winters!
