Hi, I just moved to CO recently and staying with my daughter temporarily. Can any recommend a property management company to help me find a small home to rent in Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Westminster, or any surrounding areas. I do have a dog and 2 cats so I need a fenced yard for my dog. Do not want an apartment. Thank you so much!

I would like to pay no more than $1300 a month if that is possible for a good area, small home.

It's going to be a tough order to find a house. Not impossible, but the rental market in this area is so insanely tight, homes are renting before they're even shown in many cases. People walking in with completed applications and full deposits and signing leases in mere hours. Hubby and I looked at rentals in this area for the past 3 or 4 months, put in numerous apps but were never the first people that saw a place. Landlords and companies have multiple offers per rental and they can pick and choose, which makes it tough. I know RPM shows a ton of houses in the area:

Denver Property Management, Boulder Property Managers, Denver and Boulder Homes for Rent

I also recommend private landlords, for the simple fact that many property management companies in your choice areas have pretty strict no pet policies. Not all do, but a large number did not even give us a second glance when they found out we had a dog. Good luck!

Default Drive, baby, drive.

You need to drive to your desired neighborhoods and search for "Se Renta" signs.
Call the number from your car.
I am convinced that some of these single-family house owners ONLY put up a sign in the yard.

It will be hard to find a rental that will accept any cats as most rentals I've seen don't allow cats. It is possible to find a rental that would accept cats, but it would be at a higher rate and possibly over your budget and the condition may not be that great especially in hot neighborhoods.
