I signed up at Walgreen's but when I go through the whole thing they tell me there is nothing at all available on 2/15. Wonder if it's the same as with the testing. It wasn't available until just before the time to sign up. I have a Walgreen's account but just realized that DH probably needs one, too. Now I'm trying to get him an account and apparently the site is overloaded.

I'm sorry but it shouldn't be this hard to get your second shot. It shouldn't be up to the patient to go through H$#% to get it. The state is not being helpful at all.

***I stated in an earlier post about doing DMV only for 1/18....I actually meant for anyone getting one that weekend. Didn't mean to leave out 16th and 17th!

Rothbear....How do we sign up at a "specific" place/location for the second shot? I thought we had no choices. And you need an "account" at Walgreens to get a second shot there?
You're right! This is one tangled up mess!

RDLR, I have still not gotten the first, but from all I have read and heard there a few places that ask online if it is for the 1st or 2nd shot. I have filled out so many that I can't recall which is which now. My advice is hit your local, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite-aid, Giant and for you the Camden Pharmacy as those are the ones that are currently listed on the Coronavirus Delaware website. I am stunned that CVS is not on the list, but was told that all major pharmaceutical companies were asked if they wanted to participate and it was up to them to decide. I also was told that a major blitz of the vaccines is planned for the 25th, now, the lady at Walmart told me that they may only get 100 doses, so I wonder how they are going to blitz the state.

I will say, De. is not alone. Every state is just clamoring for vaccines and I just heard that Pfizer is unable to deliver what they thought they could AND the nerve of them, the bonus doses in every vial that we heard about Pfizer is now going to charge for them according to the NY news last night. It is also worthy of note that Dr. Fauci elaborated "a little" on the vaccine timing question last night ask said that the efficacy of the vaccine is probably fine within 6 weeks.

About our second Moderna Vaccine Shot: Well, I got tired of fishing around on the Internet for answers, and wringing my hands....... I called a phone number I found in the Delaware State News to speak with a LIVE person. The person I spoke with, answered 4 out of 5 of my questions, set up our appointment file, and said the appointment center would call us, and offer places and times available for our second shot. At that time, I'm to tell the appointment center caller that I want the Moderna vaccine, same as the first. Progress, at last!

The one question the first person could not answer: Is the second shot the same potency as the first shot? I asked because I've read that if you had no reaction, or a mild reaction, to the first shot....the second might carry a more-than-mild reaction.

Appointment for second shot was made and written onto my vaccine card. Twenty-eight days later, same time, same day, same place. Giant Pharmacy Rehoboth.

Good for you, skeddy! We weren't that lucky. The only thing written on our vaccine card is 1/18/21, the date of the first vaccination.
