I'm sure you were talking about me. All I was saying was that by the looks of it, there isn't much there. I saw nothing except convenience stores and highways. Not many malls or anything. That's all I was saying.

Are you talking about the five minute view while whizzing through on I-95 or have you actually been in the various towns and the many diverse offerings within?

Have you seen the malls at Dover, Christiana or Concord Pike ... or the outlets at Rehoboth? Have you seen the many beach towns, checked out the restaurants, museums, theaters, sporting venues, casinos, wildlife preserves, historic sites, etc?

In short, there is a hell of a lot more than "nothing here"!

I kinda wonder now if you think we can't see posts on other pages, because actually, you said much more. This to be exact:

I've only driven through Delaware and honestly I don't know why people even live there. There is absolutely nothing to do ANYWHERE. I didn't see much of anything except flat land and highways. The weather there sucks too.
Charley has offered some suggestions above to broaden your view.

I don't understand your first quote since I'm not stupid and I do know that you can read other posts I've made.

What I am saying is that, compared to many other places I've been to, Delaware seems to lack a lot of interesting things. I drove through the state once on my way to Maryland and on the way back I did branch off for a day trip and tried to look for stuff to do. The restaurants I went into were sort of run down and I didn't think anything great about the malls that are located a pretty good distance from residential areas.

No need to make a huge deal about my post, I was just making an opinion statement. If you don't like it, that's fine.

Good comeback Charley,I couldnt of said it any better

Those saying there's nothing here to do are in the minority. Somebody wants to be here, as per this link showing the numbers on our population explosion! We've got plenty of people here, so I'm hoping the complainers who don't know squat, just keep on truckin'.

Right on!

I think that making decisions about an entire state from that little view on I-95 is like looking out of the window on the D-train under midtown Manhattan and saying "Gee this is a dark and dirty city with nothing much around!"

Of course it's fine if you don't like it. It's quite clear that you haven't seen much, however, given you quickly "branched off" on your way somewhere else. As such, most here are taking your insights with quite a bit of skepticism. Whether a wider look at the state would change your mind or not is beside the point, and in all truth, of little interest to me.

As for this:

No, that's what you're saying NOW. This is your original post:

I'm afraid they are too different sentiments.

My girlfriend loves German food. Are there any places to get some Schnitzel near Dover? Charley probably would know this!

Actually, I'm not aware of any German Restaurants, but I'll bet that a place like the Country Eaterie has it on the menu. I'll check. BRB.
