Thanks for all of the suggestions, I've definitely got my weekend "work" cut out for me heh. I also looked around on google maps and such and it does look like there really is some serious bar and club density in all of the places mentioned as well as a decent amount around Victory Park and SMU/ Mockingbird Station. I hear that with the way that Dallas has exploded construction-wise in the past few years things are going to keep getting better. Good stuff!

Being that I'm from DC, I can tell you that there are cool bars on McKinney Ave and off of McKinney in Uptown but nothing at ALL that compares to Adams-Morgan or U Street, sadly.

I know this will offend some so I will apologize in advance. Let's just say I enjoy clubs in Dallas but not the people who go to those clubs. I grew up in Dallas and still visit family. This is not really a criticism but a personal choice. I personally do not enjoy the macho attitudes held by Dallas males and the snobby elite attitudes held by the women who frequent these clubs. I don't think this relates to educational or social status. I think these are the attitudes embraced by many Dallas residents. Whenever I've gone to clubs in Dallas including the most exclusive ones, I still witness fights or guys at the bar trying to outdrink each other. The women all stand around and stare. I prefer the more relaxed vibe on the west coast in cities like L.A., San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. You don't really observe guys getting into fights or trying to finish as many shots as they can. Women are more approachable and seem to be having fun instead of just standing around and looking pretty. I also prefer the music on the coasts which include more hip hop and house music. The music in Dallas seems to include a lot of techno and even some country western mixes which I'm not a big fan of.
