I am moving to Flower Mound this Spring and I saw that on the website there are some new schools planned. Does anyone know when they plan on being open. Not sure if they have even started building? Thanks!

They've started building.

I believe the plan is for them to be open for this upcoming school year.

But whether or not it matters to you depends on where you live in Flower Mound.

And then be prepared for a whirlwind of parents all upset and up in arms because of the realignment of attendance zones. Happens all of the time. People move to the areas where it is nothing but new construction and "new schools" and then get upset and can't understand why these realignments have to happen. If you are deadset on a particular school you better call the district and find out any FUTURE realignment plans.

Aren't they building 9th grade centers for both Flower Mound High and Marcus High?

Not worried about realignment...it has been the story of our lives here in Charlotte. Really...I was more curious than anything.

Thanks for the info!!
