Probably for the best; many of them in nice neighborhoods in Dallas itself are out of your price range anyway.

1950s is not very old. Ever been to Europe? Talk to someone who lives in a 400 year-old stone farmhouse. That, my dear, is a very old house. You can find houses built in the 1700s and 1800s in New England. Those are old houses. A house built in the 1950s is not even all that old in my book. Plenty of houses in Lakewood were built prior to that.

I am so glad they are out of my price range I agree with what you are saying but like I said, it's a personal choice and to each his own!
