Most listings I see in "the Village" are not really in Uptown, they are in fact east of 75 Between Lovers and NW Highway. I can't swear to it, but somehow I think of that area as not too fab. It's got pretty good access to bike trails, parks, etc, but well ... someone else help me out on that.

Uptown is better. Streets Like Cole, Mckinney, that area is better.

The Village is not in uptown, but north of there a few miles. It's between Lovers Ln and Northwest Highway, just east of 75. It is full of young professionals. You can find a very nice 1 bedroom for under $900 for sure. It's a great area close to restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Also, it's very close to White Rock Lake and it's only about 5 miles to downtown.

Downtown or Uptown (downtown will generally be more affordable) is where you want to look.

There's a list of all the downtown neighborhoods and their residential buildings here:

Hey Miss V. Do you have an IM name by any chance? Mine is ar222.

I just got a place in UpTown and visited over the weekend. Looked at a lot of places. Are you going to know anyone down there?
