Dallas County is under a flash flood warning until 7 am. Some parts already got up to 3 inches of rain, with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible. White Rock Creek is also under a river flood warning.

Weird. We got a little rain earlier, lots of thunder, but nothing major.

Sending you sympathy from Connecticut! I have seen the horrible hot weather you have been having and don't know if I can begin to imagine that kind of heat. It is August 18th at 8:06 am and 63 degrees here this morning with rain. I plan on long sleeves for a shirt and probably jeans..good grief. Yesterday it was shorts and a T shirt!! Our problem here in New England especially in Connecticut is that the weather changes every day.

I spoke with my sister out in California last week, I believe on Wednesday/Thurs. and it was well over 100 degrees. Can't imagine it.

Stay cool and Fall isn't that far away!

I think we're past the peak. It hasn't hit 100 degrees for several days and isn't predicted to hit it in the next several days. It isn't exactly cool but it's bearable and my air conditioner can finally keep up. In fact, the next couple of days aren't even supposed to hit 90. For August in Texas, that's hard to complain about.
