I noticed a lot of construction with IH-30 around the new Cowboy Stadium but then I noticed something on the overpass that looks like it is going to be a Dart or TRE Rail line. Is it true?

There really needs to be a rail going to Arlington by Six Flags, Rangers Ballpark & Cowboy Stadium but I don't see it in any of the city plans

Nope - Arlington is not a DART member city and has all their tax dollars allocated to paying for the stadiums (Cowboys and Rangers).

They have to do something (or not do something) to keep their title as the largest city in the US without any form of public transportation!

It may be a deal Jerry struck with DART to get people to come out to the middle of nowhere to watch his team.

just a theory.

Agreed. With all that's there it's totally illogical!

Actually, and I just found this out the other day, Mesa, Arizona is the largest city without public transportation. Doesn't mean that the #2 spot is anything to be happy about though. I know what people are talking about where the over pass appears to be gearing up for some sort of public transport. It's actually a "pedestrian friendly" walkway so people can walk over the highway (next to numerous cars making their way to the stadium) from their parking spots to the new stadium. I don't know the exact logistics but I have seen it and it doesn't look too friendly. It's definitely a trek. This city is so backwards when it comes to forward-thinking and like someone else said being pro-active. Oh well, their loss.

That way he can rake in $40 per car for parking.

The Cowboys Stadium should have been built Downtown! Arlington is so far out of the loop and does not even have a public transport system in place! "Coney Island" is too busy kissing butt to all of the big dogs and not worried about the most basic city necessities.
