I have several friends that live in this neighborhood and loves it. The HOA is high because of the landscaping, and the security guards. HOA is strict anywhere. Otherwise, lots of family and close to many amenities.

It is a very nice neighborhood but I've heard HOA torture stories as well. I don't like gated communities, too snobbish. I would even get rid of fences if I could.

Nice community. We even ran into multiple offers situation for home in Coppell and CFB isd during last year. It is very desirable location. We did not submit our offer at the end considering contradicting foundation reports and seller added some extra sq.ft which is not recorded in dcad. There is a las colinas HOA as well. But there is no flood district tax like most of the valley ranch. Being gated, they need to maintain their roads and security guards.

I have lived in this neighborhood for a little over a year now and have recently recieved 2 letters from the HOA for, what I consider, very minor issues. I believe it is on the verge of harrassment, due to the fact my neighbors issues are far worse than mine. I, personally, would not recommend this area to anybody and completely regret buying a house here.
What are the minor issues? I don't think it's fair dealing to put a black mark on a community unless you are specific. Realize that by making negative statements you turn people who otherwise might be interested away from a highly rated community and I feel like its a cheap shot to sling arrows when you fail to disclose the complete story. I don't live there but if you look at the Dallas Morning Mews recent community rating tool, it is among the most highly rated quality of life communities in the DFW area.
