I'm considering a place on lake ray hubbard and have been reading about the dock restrictions--does anybody know what they charge a square foot for building a dock- Specifically want to have a private dock with lifts--but could scale it down to fit in the regulations...is anyone familiar with a good company out there to use?

thanks

There are only two companies that are authorized to build boat houses/docks on Lake Ray Hubbard. If your looking to buy on the Rockwall side right now you can't build one. Only Garland, Rowlett and I believe Sunnyvale and Heath owners can. Call the city to make sure and verify before you do anything. The cities have pretty tight restrictions on what they allow and such. The one builder I'm familiar with is either Ray Hubbard Dock Builders or Lake Ray Hubbard Dock Builders. I've got the name and number at the office though. Whatever you do you will get to know the person w/ the city that is responsible for the take-line that you'll be dealing with.
