D.C. NO. I lived there, on the Virginia side and never thought it was good. First, the cost of living is no joke. Second, too many people think they are important with all the Political jawing going on. Third, despite an excellent public transit system, traffic is wicked, even more so than Atlanta or Dallas, by a wide margin. Atlanta was somewhat better dating wise.

I meant strictly for guys dating only. I would not live in DC for the other reasons you mentioned.

I would add many more cities to list of ATLANTA & DC being great places. To be honest Dallas was no slouch. I met a few women there that seemed nice in the 1 day I was there. I’m black early 30s. Dallas seems to have a great selection of women to choose from. I’m from Memphis and live in Indianapolis. (Memphis has lots of single women)

Miami has the highest so stop making ATLANTA seem different than many cities that have this problem. There’s small towns in Indiana that have astronomical HIV rates. A Prior year listed here as stats change by the year:https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hiv...nfection%3famp

Generally speaking, a move from one large metro area to another isn't likely to change one's dating fortunes.

Not sure if I agree with this. There is enough to go around if I was single. I live by West Plano/Frisco and there's plenty of single men/women here.

I've noticed a migratory pattern in my general social circle where the following happens....

1. Be single at some point and live in Uptown or some other Central Dallas neighborhood
2. Become a couple. Maybe move into a Central Dallas apartment together as a couple as the first living together space. Then maybe get married.
3. Get a dog or have a kid
4. Move to a suburb north of Interstate 635 either for the kid's school or for more space for the dog.

Sometimes 3 and 4 can be inverted.

Ultimately, most singles do not wish to remain single and unattached. It's a very difficult life. Most people want some sort of meaningful relationship in their lives.
