In what way? Any potential bill could be brought up in the 2018 session I suppose, but there isn't any reason to believe it would be or that it would be successful.

I could see Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and Boston being top contenders.

The financial status and crime in Chicago is a negative, but we do have excellent public transit and plenty of housing in the city proper. I'm assuming most of the new employees would be younger, so they'd probably rather live in the city than the suburbs.

Dallas and Atlanta are doing better financially and have a lower cost of living, but really don't have decent public transportation systems.

You mean 2019. There is no legislative session next year

We don't have excellent public transit. We have excellent public transit in some areas (so I've heard...I've never lived in those areas). That makes it decent public transit in my view, but useless for those of us without viable access.

Chicago's public transit isn't excellent on a global scale, but it's one of the best in the US.

LOL-I thought you were in Dallas, saying Dallas has an excellent public transportation system. I see now that you are in Chicago. I will take your word for it on Chicago's system and I agree with your assessment on Dallas's...decent at best is the best description.

Please stop with the liberal propaganda, business exists to make a profit, not to spread social justice warrior nonsense no matter how much most of these corporations try to please the Google HR board and ESPN talking heads.

The Texas economy and its growth here are excellent, even with our "radical" right government. Ill tell you what scares away business and economic growth. Its high taxes, high regulations, and their effects on society. If it wasnt for the Tech industry and hollywood, California would essentially be a third world country.
While you have some valid points, some of your conservatism view has lots of hypocrisy. Most of these so called low tax states that are business friendly often are very restrictive when it comes to private matters. Texas has not legalized marijuana or is very close. Additionally the fact you can't get alcohol before noon on Sunday without having food or even get liquor on Sunday is ridiculous. Sure, they are all about business freedom, but individual rights go out the window on a lot of stuff. Don't get me wrong I love living in Texas, but I came from a red state that did similar stuff. People speak about freedom, but then when its something they don't like, they are quick to outlaw it.
