Took my kids to Reunion Tower last weekend; returned disappointed as the Observation Tower is still closed for renovations . What's up with that? Why are renovations taking more than 2 years?

My guess would be the slow economy.

Most say they don't regular dressed tourists mingling with nicely dressed patrons of 560 on the elevator.

You can thank Wolfgang Puck for this one - Reunion Tower Lookout, Dallas Traveller Reviews - TripAdvisor

Thats BS. I went up there a few years ago and it was a nice thing to do for my guests that were visiting from out of town. Wolfgang can kiss my ass

In typical Dallas style I might have you.

Hogwash

Last year I went to the Signature Room on the 95th floor inside Chicago's Hancock Tower in casual tourist clothes & its waaayyy more upscale than Reunion Towers restaurant by far & offers some of the most breath taking Chicago skyline views in the city looking along the lake front on Michigan Avenue.

I took two out of state visitors and found it was closed. True dissapointment.
Why Dallas like to shoot itself on the foot all the time?
This is one of those few attractions to share with visitors and they have it closed for a couple of years?? None sensical.

I concur

It is pretty pathetic to have a Dallas landmark like that shut down to those not willing to shell out 100 bucks for a meal.

Hats off to San Antonio & Chicago though.

I've heard it was Wolfgang Puck keeping it closed, too. Screw them and their overpriced food. How long until they close up shop and someone else moves in? I liked Anteres better.

Put a food court up there and not only they will have tourists, they will have tons of money from people eating lunch up there.
Dallas always trying to be exclusive. Its just not realistic.

Who are you and how do I vote for you and your common sense ideals for city council?
