House on Singing Hills in Firewheel Farms........ great neighborhood. All the neighbors sat out tables at the sidewalks for Halloween for Trick-or-Treating for the kiddo's so they don't have to go right up to every door and all. LOTS of native trees in that neighborhood. Most yards in there are not large. As for the house...... lots of great updates. My daughter is friends w/ the listing agents daughter. Oh, and based on dcad, it looks like it is a divorce or something since she owns it solely now. Don't recognize the name of the seller right off.

3rd house on Fountain Hills......... I personally prefer the Firewheel Farms area where the 2nd house is. A few homes in this part are not kept up as well but most are.

FOUND IT! Here is the thread of pics I took several years ago of the Firewheel area and some of downtown Garland:

Some pics are taken on Muirfield Rd which is the street that the last two houses you asked about are located off of.

I also want to add one more thing: although I live i Sachse and like I said before, do a lot of my shopping in Garland, the cities/ places that I visit often because they just all seem to meld together are Richardson, Murphy, Plano, Wylie, a little bit of Rowlett and of course Garland and Sachse. All these cities are very near each other. And that is pretty much where I go whenever I want to do something.

One thing that is really REALLY nice about being so close to 190 and not that far from 75 (or even DNT or LBJ) is that if we want to go out to eat or whatever anywhere in the Dallas area...... it's not that far and easy to get to with such easy access to 190 and the many surface streets around here. I'll be leaving here shortly to head to Dallas to the AAC for tonights hockey game and will most likely stop in Dallas along the way to eat dinner. I can be back home in my driveway when I leave the game tonight in about 25 minutes.

To the OP Firewheel is a great area as well.

Firewheel - Garland
Murphy
Sachse
Wylie
Rowlett
Rockwall

All good areas.

If you like suburban living, Firewheel is hard to beat. The golf course area has some really nice developments with prices from the low 200s to 1M+. It has MAJOR shopping close by on 78/190. Nice shopping in a town-center setting.
It has some of the best traffic compared to other suburbs because it's not that far north and there's 190 east/west, which takes you quickly to 75. Compared to Plano or Allen or McKinney or Frisco, you don't really have to take 75 or the DNT (Frisco) to go to Dallas because there are several real good alternatives with 78, Jupiter, Plano Rd all of which have much less traffic than comparable roads west of 75 and east of the DNT.

How is this area now after 13 years of this post? Still the same, different? What changed?

Traffic @ N.Garland/GBush. You should drive the area, go into walmart and check the people out.
