Hi,

We are about to close on a house in McKinney (Robinson Ridge subdivision to be exact) and I am having a hard time finding internet and cable providers. Does anyone here know who the major ISPs are, and any recommendations on the fastest internet service available (12 mbps) and tv service? We are looking for an HDTV and high speed internet bundle.

Thanks.

Time Warner Cable, AT&T as far as I know that do bundles. There are also dish providers as well, but I'm not certain on their internet capabilities.

If you have access to Verizon's FIOS service, I highly recommend it.

Verizon isn't in Mckinney... DON'T USE TIME WARNER. Horrible customer service... HORRIBLE. AT&T is much better.

AT&T is better than Time Warner, but I preferred Verizon FIOS when we lived in Plano. Unfortunately, like matto said, we don't have Verizon here.

I canceled Time Warner a week ago due to horrible customer service and they call me daily.

We cancelled Time Warner and then went to AT&T and had trouble with the bundle. Now we have AT&T for cable and Satellite dish for TV. So far, we haven't found anything we've been happy with. Our internet speed kept getting reset to a slower speed under Time Warner although we paid for more. At one time they said we had the same as dial up when we called to complain. I didn't even know that was possible with cable but it is. With AT&T, we have unexplained fluctuations in speed and I lost connection entirely during the last ice storm even though nothing else was affected. We are wanting to try Clear? My husband keeps mentioning it everytime we have issues with Internet but I don't know if it isn't available yet or we are just still under contract. Happy enough with satellite though we're talking about just going with NetFlix over a Wii and drop any kind of tv provider at all.

Few of my friends in that area and in North-East Plano has AT&T Uverse and they love it; We had it for a good amount of time in CA and we loved it. AT&T may be at an early stage of installing Uverse around many parts in this area and that is why some of them might had fluctuations but it has been known for pretty good service.

AT&T HSDSL and DirectTV. Now we have no cable but that's how we had it set up when we did satellite. So far so good with the ATT DSL.
