Trying to go 600mph on dirt. Sounds exciting. I’m selling parachutes that open on impact and helicopter ejection seats if anyone is interested.

It was for a good cause though. She was trying to break her previous world record run that broke her first world record run.

I was very sad when I heard this news. She was obviously a very nice young lady who loved cars and had great skills. I always liked seeing her on the various shows she was on.

Chip Foose and the entire crew of Overhaulin' have to be devastated.

For those who say she did something dumb by racing so fast, those folks are evidently not true car lovers or car racers. We, who do love cars and speed, know we are taking risks, but you take risks every day of your life just going for groceries. True car people would never fault her.

RIP, Jesse.

I was having a little fun with my previous post but I appreciate those that have her drive. Still recovering from a broken leg on my dirt bike and looking forward to riding again.

How's 400mph a record? Indy cars are doing 250.

What a stupid nit to pick. I guess I got that speed googling and came up with the North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger record, which is some dumb**** average of some stupid event who knows. Wtf does it matter if she was going 400, 600 or 6000? the point is it's a stupid way to die, she got hooked on the adrenalin and ego rush and didn't know when to quit.
Next Darwin award winner or event to discuss?

I believe she was going for the women's land speed record for a four wheel vehicle. She already held the record at 398.954 mph. It seems like a pretty pointless thing for her to lose her life over.

You are a real peach, is it insecurity that enrages you so? I can guarantee, between her and you, which one will leave a genuine legacy and is an actual positive inspiration on the world and those around them.

Did she lose control of her vehicle or something? Or did it blow up?

(Full disclosure - I have not read any info on the accident at all)
