Maybe they can build a safe paved trail with bridges and handrails, and people will stop dying trying to get to it. Maybe a couple of gift shops that sell Gatorade to keep people hydrated - or at least a solar powered Gatorade machine. An umbrella stand would be a good idea too so no one gets wet and gets hypothermia.

They thought about building a bridge but decided moving the bus without telling anyone beforehand was a lot easier.
Why not just let the military use it for a training mission to have one of their heavy lift helicopters sling-lift it out of there. Maybe cut it in half first if it's too heavy for one flight.
