I work outdoors and this is one of the hardest summers I have ever worked. I usually love the heat and never complain, but I'm beat up this summer. Got heat exhaustion for the first time in my life this July and it was much more painful and scary than I ever imagined. Way too hot, way too dry and very hard working weather.

Well I do a fair amount of work outside and do like the heat (and can tolerate the humidity ok)…but this summer has worn me down a bit too. I’m not really surprised though…this has been like an old fashioned East Coast summer of the 1950’s - relentless heat and humidity. about 12 F to 18 F colder than anywhere on the East Coast from NYC/Connecticut south –lol.

I know someone who works at NWS San Diego. Get to see various Facebook updates from him about the weather down there: they have set record lows a bunch of times recently. Even shattering them by 3-5 degrees in some cases. The weather pattern in that area has shifted a couple hundred miles off than normal for this time of year.
