Remember that April is not all that much different in temps that October. Mean temp in Oct is 56 F, mean temp in April is 50 F (at NWS Bridgeport). Also, April has more sun hours than October on average. So I think that April (when we have a nice April) can be pretty nice (sunny and mid 60'sF).

Agree, real winter is more like Dec - through March (4 months). Still, many times we get a mild start (50's and sunny) to December. So it can often can go both ways.

How can anyone not like this pattern??? 60s in October is PERFECT! 40s/50s at night.

FYI... 3 days in a row its been below normal... slightly but below. and no real warmth coming next 10 days. Status Quo, which I am fine with!

Normal Max
Bridgeport 67°
BDL 66°

Normal Low
Bridgeport 50°
BDL 44°

We wasted so much money on fall sports for the kids. Constant cancelations due to weather. Obviously no one can control that, but it really stinks.

We really can't complain about today's weather much - sunshine, temps within a few degrees of 70 F, and low humidity. Perfect day for anything outside. Thur and Fri look much the same. As of 3:00 PM:

Todays 60s and 70s felt great because dewpoints were in the 30s and 40s for most of us

I live for these days in Spring and Early Fall

But now that we're getting closer to November I need it to start cooling down... Speaking of which.. Look at the pattern coming starting Friday Well below normal. November like. Get that firewood ready

This. I get we can't control it, just stinks the kids can't get the time for their games or even outdoor time. Are we ever going to break the weekend rain patterns?

The rain on weekend/sunny during the week is just bad luck it seems.

Overall it seems like this has been a sunny October (but I don't know what the data says?). What is funny (for some I guess), is that while the weekends have had showers/rain, during the week we often see desert like conditions, bone dry, sunny, and not a cloud in the sky. I checked today again, the current sat picture shows not a cloud in the sky over Connecticut, and the 10 Am regional weather round up shows the same - full sun at almost 100% of reporting stations.

Yes, just bad luck. Generally speaking, I've enjoyed the weather!
