Why is it raining again Or should I say still? It's been this way since 5am. Went to bed at midnight with no rain on the weather app for today.

It seems like weather is all a numbers game. What seems to be the most interesting thing coming down the road - is will the area NWS stations finish the month below normal? As of today NWS Bridgeport is running 1.7 below normal, NWS Bradley 1.5 below normal. It looks like by late this weekend, the East Coast moves back into a ridge position, with warmer temps building out of the Bermuda High.

However, it looks like temps only a few degrees above normal (upper 80's F). This might not be enough to erase the current below normal means. If this ends up the case, this would likely seal summer 2023 as below normal.

Rain rain and more rain. What a gross week. Last summer I hardly mowed, this summer the lawn is ready every 5 days. On a positive note I'm not cranking the a/c's.

I saw that too. While the size and shape was impressive (for the East Coast), they said it was an F0. So it was not too strong. Still a tornado in CT is news anytime.

Was just outside....rain FINALLY moving away! Sun is out, most area NWS sites starting to report clearing skies and sunshine. Sprawling High pressure headed toward CT:

Should top out near low 80's F today and dew points should come down some. Finally an extended period of DRY weather and no tropical rains in sight. Should be a prefect weekend - sunny and temps in the mid 80's F and lower dew points:
