Snowfall totals so far...

New Hampshire Gray Knob leading the pack in the Northeast with 2 feet of snow. (Gotta be in the mountains but I thought Mt Washington would be winning.

NY has more locations with 10"+.

Connecticut is looking for their first accumulation somewhere.

Our next "chance" at any snowflakes would be Sunday night into Monday!

Basically a storm comes from the Ohio valley and a coastal storm could form. When, will, where they merge is the question.

Timing could be good because it looks to start Sunday night as apposed to during the day.

This is what the GFS prints out for Monday 1am. Storm is hugging the coast, snow north of Merrit

Sunday-Monday Storm/Snow chance from latest Euro12z.

QPF's
NYC: 0.25"
Bridgeport: 0.27" with 850 temps below freezing and starting Sunday night. Good news. IF this is all snow would mean 1-2". lol

Providence: 0.71"
Boston: 1.09" But mixing involved

Trying to find "interesting" in this boring pattern.
Only 7 nights this month was above normal this month so far.

6 of the last 10 Novembers been below normal. Including this month

Also... look at the record snowfall for the dates... 1980s is on there a lot. Funny to see considering the 80s was a snowless decade and every season ended up below normal snowfall totals.

8 out of the last 10 OR 12 of the last 15 Decembers ended up above normal. I see that as the odds are favorable for a below normal December.... or the trend is your friend?

Knowing Mt. Washington, I tried to look up Gray Knob and all I find is a cabin in the Whites, looks like it's near Mt. Adams? I thought it would be a peak.

Yup.. its at 4375' (lower than Mt Washington). The cabin is just below the tree line.

It's great getting solid snowfall OBS from the Gray Knob site. That's four snow plot data points now in the Presidential Range. I hope CT joins and starts using more data from Litchfield county.

Euro has "A big STORM" around December 5th Sub975mb. The track goes just west of us so that would mean rain but obviously its 9 days away.

But look how the temps crash when the storm pulls away.

5000' 50s to 10s in 6hrs
