So far so good without many 80s and dry dews! Today will be warm

76/100 inch at Hartford's Brainard Airport. Only had two quick popup showers in the early afternoon while in Springfield, MA. Going by the newest weekly drought monitor map, this area needed that rain today. Especially from about Hartford going north.

It poured for a decent time in the Kensington section of Berlin as well. The Mattabesset River at the Cromwell/Middletown town line (in this case on CT Route 217) looked very low before the rain came.

Lucky guys! I only got 0.04" in past 7 days! With the summer sun it calls for watering everyday. Luckily no 90s yet!

Looks like a very quiet and relatively pleasant week for the Northeast, weather-wise.

How many more Top 10 days can we get? SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!! So far so good!

These were the 2pm Observations. Look at those Dews. WOW

Note Mt Washington Temp. 32°. That tells us what type of airmass is in place. Look at the 850mb temps. That's at 5000'. 30s. It's a cool one for this time of year and the NW flow is drying us out. No humidity.

Here is the 5000' temp anomaly this morning. Well below normal

Here is why.... Jet Stream is dipping south.
