Nice colors. Is the tree with pink blossoms in second photo above a redbud? They seem to bloom early, earlier than the cherries.

Thats a weeping Cherry tree.

Cherries bloom earlier than Redbuds actually.

Here is a Redbud. Still only little buds.

The skies cleared after 0.38" of rain so I grabbed the camera and got some close ups.
Low temps been generally in the 40s. Highs been all over the place 70s, 60s, 50.

I see leaves!

Crimsons just started opening.

Norway's are opening and if I didn't zoom in I wouldn't of known. Mini Leaves!

Eastern Red Bud usually slow but Oaks are the last ones to come out.

Yesterday. Not sure what kind of tree it is. Dogwood maybe?

Cherry Closeup.

Great pictures, Cam, thanks, I enjoy seeing our trees come to life in spring. As to the trees in the next-to-last photo above, I'll take a guess that they are Bradford Pears. They 're pretty common around here, and are just coming out. They are beautiful, but have two disadvantages---they're very fragile and are easily toppled in storms, and the flowers smell awful, really awful. Just step up to one of them and and you'll know.

Thanks! And I think you're right! I didn't even think about that. Nice call.

Couple pics from this evening from Greenwich, CT .. 55F and Cloudy.

Someones backyard.

Daffodils? I'm no good with flowers.

I think this house has 6 Fireplaces.

Sign still up. Now says "Sprinkler Ban In Effect". We are 1.8" away from having a Top 10 wettest Aprils and we are slightly above normal for the year.

Now just imagine an entire street, area, city or county full of these trees. No idea what kind of tree leafed out so early. But sure looks like May.

Merritt North. No its not winter, this is from today April 24, 2017.. Must be a lot of Oaks in there.

April 26, 2017. New Canaan, CT

About 5 inches of rain this month.

7 of the last 8 days had precip.. Only the 23rd didn't, that was the only sunny day we had past 8 days

Wet and Dreary again today. If there were leaves on trees at least would look interesting. lol Undergrowth coming in. Ground so saturated. Nothing drying out. NO SUN! Temps in 50s again.

As soon as we get sun and warmth blossoms will pop and leaves will grow.
