I agree, and the second one also reminds me of views from the hills of Central Vermont.

Here are two "brown winter" photos, that is, without snow, taken this month. While not as dramatic as snowy landscapes, these scenes are beautiful too--showing nature in its annual rest, the cycle which then leads to life.

On the left is a view of Waveny House, in New Canaan, looking across the park.

The one on the right was taken in Sherwood Island State Park, Westport.

Nice pics. I liked the 1st West Cornwall the best. As others said, nice captures.

I like the New Canaan one. Yeah, not much wintry scene chances this year with the snow then rain, cold then warm, snow then melting. But brown is good too to capture the moment.

Thanks for posting these, I really enjoy looking at all your photos everyone. I haven't been able to travel and take photos much lately.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody. Here's a couple more from Vernon in the fall (right off the highway too lol). Love the colors of Fall in New England! I'll have to take some more from this time of year soon, though.

I could picture myself sitting on one of those benches just taking it all in. If we have such beauty here in Danbury / Bethel, I have yet to find it.....but then again, between work and home projects, I don't travel the area much

Make a visit to Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield, especially in autumn, you won't be disappointed.

Went to local river... Nice to see water flowing again but its still looks low. Rainfall has been near normal past 3 months but maybe upstream hasn't.

See the mini waterfall back there? I went down for a closer shot..

Went closer and spotted something frozen. lol Gee, at least we got frozen Icicles this winter.

2 Minute Video. Enjoy the tranquil sounds of moving water. Air temp 26°F . Water must be near 40F? No idea.

Tallest masonry tower in the USA; at Yale in New Haven, CT. If people want to see more of the New Haven/Yale pictures, perhaps I can make an album to share.
