Saw a few of your neighbors on the side of the Merritt this morning, having some breakfast. Guess how many beats my heart skipped.

Coastal Connecticut at Stamford...

The beautiful Stamford skyline can be seen all the way from the shore. The Trump building dominates this scene.

One of the most historic houses in Stamford, right in Cove Island Park. Notice the pine tree on the right, I don't remember what's it called, but I do remember one of my old teachers (long time ago, lol) telling me that it's a very rare species and its hundreds of years old. Don't know how much truth there is to that, but there it is.

Is that Long Island or Norwalk/Darien in the distance?

Long Island, I don't think Norwalk is visible from anywhere along the Stamford shore.

I forgot how close LI is in Stamford. You can actually make out the trees. Where I live LI sometimes isn't visible at all depending on visibility and the tides, and only if you're looking in one particular direction.

Are you sure? That looks awefully close unless it is an optical illusion. Jay
