Nice photos of Silver Sands. If you get a chance to go back you should 1. walk out to Charles Island at low tide, and 2. check out Walnut Beach. It's a really nice beach, sandier and bigger than the Silver Sands beach area.

Warm pattern continues.

October 1, 2018. The only thing with color are the road work signs. Lol. 5% of trees have color in the area but this is pretty much the overall scene still. We are about 2 weeks late.

October 12, 2018. Beautiful day with cumulus clouds around and temps staying in the low 60s. Stiff NW winds. Finally Fall weather.

Can't believe it's still so green by this time of the year. Maybe I'm trying to rush the year along.

Thank you camblum and others for posting such beautiful pics! I live for the beauty of nature. I really like the comparison pics too! I can't remember who posted them but thanks! It's so fun to see the differences.

Thanks! The comparisons I usually do in Spring and Fall. Been a while though.

Speaking of which... Every year around this time..

A comparison from my roof for October 20-23 timeframe.

2015 had Great colors.
2013 was early.
2018 is late with all trees still pretty green except that Sugar Maple.

October 29, 2018: Temps in the 40s.

Day after the NorEaster. What is usually a calmer sound was pretty choppy.

@Cam waves like that are fairly common here. I would say 1/3 of days will have waves like that or greater

I think because it’s such a wider part of sound that factors in.

I have a condo near there so I'm there often and it's quite calm usually.. Maybe you're thinking another area in Milford? Not that spot. Only during/after storms it gets pretty choppy.. Here's a few showing the usual nature of that sound there.
