you can say that again. 2013 as well. I remember many folks saying , wow, this is how summer should be. Warm with hot sun yet not muggy.

Mugginess is coming back.

Fall forecasts start Sept 1st for a reason.

Oh...and Water temps might be good for a Tropical storm near us but other factors need to happen.

I wonder in terms of warm waters what happens if Erika runs up the coast. It would likely end the streaks of 80+ weather (and prevent some of the coming near 90 temps though it would be very very muggy and not be much of an improvement at all)

Everyone is banking on this...so am I. Makes most sense tight now and consensus. Take a deep breath tonight and hold it for 10 days

NWS now seems to be saying we have one more comfy day like this tomorrow and the heat doesn't start until Sunday?

I'm still thinking (and I know almost no models are saying this) that Erika somehow gets in the way of our heat wave late next week. Not thinking anything like Sandy or Irene just somehow we get cloudy and rainy.

Possible! NHC is having a rough time forecasting Erika. Erika has consistently been south of the forecast track and the NHC has been stubborn in revising it. It started to become clear that Erika would pass south of Puerto Rico and over Hispanola and finally, after the fact, they have adjusted the track to reflect that.

Yeah, Erika's center "reformed" West of where it was yesterday morning. Now the track is over Florida. Problem is, its so disorganized that it might become a depression soon. LOL. Just rain and wind for Florida.

I think after that it just gets absorbed into a front or just evaporates. I don't think the Northeast gets involved with any clouds or rain with this one.

Hope you all took your deep breath this morning. Heat & Humidity is coming.

My low was 59.2°. Being on top of a hill sucks sometimes.

NWS WEATHER PREDICTION CENTER COLLEGE PARK MD
1222 AM EDT FRI AUG 28 2015

THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE IS EXPECTED TO APPROACH A BERMUDA-HIGH CONFIGURATION OVER THE SOUTHEAST THIS PERIOD, ALLOWING A POOLING OF TROPICAL MOISTURE FROM THE NORTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO TO THE SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC. USED THE LATEST NHC FORECAST FOR ERIKA, THOUGH MUCH MODEL UNCERTAINTY EXISTS IN THAT SYSTEM'S TRACK AND INTENSITY.
