Foxwoods: ♫ " Spin the wheel, 'round and 'round we go!"

Quote:
Take a chance, make it happen
Pop a cork, fingers snapping
Spin the wheel, 'round and 'round we go!
Life is good, life is sweet
Grab yourself a front row seat
Let's meet, and have a ball
Let's live (let's live) for the wonder of it all!

Paradise, lucky seven
Grab yourself a piece of heaven
You and me, we can have it all
Living large, get on board
This is it, it's your reward
Let's meet, where the trees are standing tall
Let's live (let's live)
For the wonder of it all!
Meet me at Foxwood (Foxwoods!)

Steady relaxing rains here now with the birds out...and a poke of the sun. No more thunder.. Losing its punch?

.SYNOPSIS...
Low pressure south of Cape Cod tracks northeast through tonight,
moving into the Gulf of Maine. An associated weak surface trough
will move east of the region tonight. High pressure builds in
from the southwest briefly for late tonight and Wednesday.

Through early this evening, higher vorticity advection associated
with residual cold pool aloft keeps and the lingering upper
level low combined with increased daytime heating
has led to
scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some gusty winds and small
hail as well as heavy rain are possible for brief periods of time
with these thunderstorms. Most of the convection has been confined
to Southwest Connecticut and Western Long Island Sound.

With CAPE
values forecast of a few hundred J/KG
more showers and
thunderstorms will be possible with coverage being scattered. This
will decrease with loss of diurnal heating and as the cold pool
aloft shifts farther east this evening

Raised for the shoreline...and inland.

Kinda interesting. Since we got rains I don't feel as comfortable hitting the high numbers.

If it was bone dry I would be like 90s for sure. Lets see what happens.

For highs today, a blend of mixing down from 825-775 hPa, per
BUFKIT soundings, NAM 2-meter temperatures, and a mixture of
MAV/ECS/MET guidance was used. Highs should be around 15 degrees
above normal. It would not be surprising if a location of two in
NE NJ, the Lower Hudson Valley and maybe even normally warmer
locations in NYC reached the 90 degree mark. The afternoon
seabreeze should prevent any record highs from being reached.

Deep layered ridging remains in control tonight and Thursday. It
will be dry tonight, with only some high clouds around.

Hmmm... my office window faces the sun. We should cook today. No air conditioning for another week but even with, our office gets hot. Good day for site visits.

At least the ground got a good soaking and I have mulch out now so the plants will be happy.
