There she is...officially a Hurricane now. Seeing images of flooding in Florida. Some areas passing 10" of rain.

Radar, Satellite, metar loops last 4hrs

So how long has it been? Over 10 yrs or something since U.S had a landfall??

That's not a hurricane. I have been through so many I don't even bat an eye if it doesn't get over 80mph. Mind you, I lost my roof, ceilings, and three rooms of stuff in 2004. Thank You Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne. LOL.

Enjoying the clouds and cooler temps today. But what the heck is this I see in the BOX forecast discussion:

"This will also allow for the heat and humidity to make a comeback. Low confidence on a few spots hitting 90F Thursday and/or Friday, but overall could see upper 80s region wide."

90? this is Sept now, enough already...

Been updating this thread in case you were wondering. Other than "localized" power outages, downed trees, and flooding in CT I don't see this as a big threat for us. Coastal communites heads up though...

I cant believe this thing is going to stall! Watch those tropical rain bands too

My Brother has a house in Florida that looks to be in the path, but not a direct hit, and he is at his house on North Carolina Coats near the South Carolina line.....looks to also get a bit wet from this. Here, I'm ready for it....maybe cool things down a bit

Thanks for the info on the last few pages Cam, always a + to read through. Now if we can just skip this warm September stuff I'd be better. I should be turning my air off at night since it's chilly in the AM but the weatherman never gives any insight to temps/dew points for the evening and just talks about the morning and highs for the day. Add to that when I get home at 5 it still feels like it hasn't started to cool down enough for me to open windows. It's annoying at this point actually, and they are forecasting 80's again next week

Leaving work around midnight temp read 72, but it was chilly out. Guess not much heat left over from the sin during the day. Still in shock dealing with fall coming feels too soon. At least one more heat wave possibly in October or end of November I'll be good.

Heads up boaters! I saw forecasts for 10-35 foot waves in the Atlantic!

This storm movement is just nuts to see. Never seen anything like it. The colors shown in his animation are sustained winds at 5000 feet. which will mix down to surface but not be as strong
