These new apt buildings are cool, but they never mention parking. Surely people will still have cars.

On the same page was this story regarding the Yard Goats park. More bad news

City to appeal judge's $4.8M eminent domain ruling | HartfordBusiness.com

"The city owes the land's former developer about $3 million, according to a ruling in a Hartford Superior Court case involving the city's use of eminent domain to acquire the property, which helped make way for the minor league baseball stadium."

When will this ballpark fiasco end ?

Looks like a game between UConn and UHart could be the first game played in the new yard goats stadium. If so, it will happen on April 5th, 82 days from now.

The Goats don't start until the 13th.

It is kind of sad to see that Hot Tomatoes closed. It has been a downtown institution for more than 30 years. I remember when it was the trendiest place in town. In recent years though it has gotten tired. Sorry to see it go. Jay

Looks like there will be a new bookstore downtown. UConn and Barnes & Noble are getting ready to sign a lease for a store in the Front Street Lofts building. Great news. Jay

A new bookstore in downtown! That is great news! Wonder if Blockbuster will sign a lease soon?

::I'm being sarcastic::

This will be a good fit with Uconn going there. I'll really be interested to see if Uconn moving to Hartford has any real impact. Hope it does.

The B&N will include a Starbucks. Amazing that Front Street didn't already have one.

How the Patriots Almost Became Connecticut

The interesting takeaway for me was that had they put the stadium at Rentscheler, the Pats probably would have come to CT.

That is an interesting article. It does seem that Jonathan Kraft broke the contract with Connecticut by talking with Massachusetts representatives. Seemed a bit shady overall. Jay
