Hearing reports of the snow starting 2 hrs early. And take a look at the current metars. Stations reporting snow right at the front edge. So it should start snowing right off the bat. No nee to prime the atmosphere. Snowing at PHL now

I know this will sound weird coming from me, but I am hoping when I wake up tomorrow morning that it will be snowing pretty good. I'll feel less guilty calling out of work then. Lol.

I think they sent the thing to the wrong place!
Is this a gas snowblower? I ask because if it is, it would exceed the weight limit for shipping through the post office.

It's a few degrees warmer being on the coast & urban heat (more wet than frozen), it's a very big city, people don't need cars to get around, people walk or take transit, it's not hilly like areas around NY, things don't shut down (unless the storm is life threatening ie Sandy), among other reasons.

Other possibilities:
Better snow removal/ DoT? (Can bring equipment down from upstate)
People don't care if it snows?
Not hyped as much?

When i was younger, single and more adventurous I always attempted to drive in even 8 inches as long as plow trucks were out. Now being dual income i just hunker down with the wife and call it a snow day for anything over 6 usually

I will be out going for a drive during the height of the storm tomorrow. Have a boat to knock the snow off of and two houses to take care of! Will post pictures.

Maybe you should just stay home. Last thing DOT and emergency workers need are people who feel the need to be on the road "during the height of the storm".
