I've had the most success on linkedin, usually by recruiters reaching out to you. But for purely based job searches, I'm sure it works well.

NO, I was implying that younger people will work for lower wages. I think Boston has more younger people than Fairfield country, especially considering that Boston has about 30 colleges and universities.

I was thinking along the lines of taxes being the primary reason GE left the state which is untrue. The reasons you note are why GE left the state. GE was going to leave regardless of taxes since a company seeking to reinvent itself needs to be located in a top city for the respective talent needed. Connecticut isn't a biotech hub and that isn't something we can blame Malloy for. Boston has been a major metropolitan city with a wealth of top schools since before I was born.

I just checked out of curiosity. Boston area (immediate metro is estimated 3 million) has about 130k students. Fairfield County is a metro of just shy of 1 Million and has about 50k students (not including technical students). So minus Western, the coast of the County has about 46k. I thought it was a good bit less honestly.

Meh I was a little sloppy with my search and maths (was kind of distracted) but a few numbers came up:

UB: 4,824
SHU: 8,235
UConn: 2,014

Needless to say... there could be a lot more seats for higher ed in Fairfield county regardless.
