What? Where is a $233,000 house that has an $8,000 tax bill? We went through this before and even high tax West Hartford does not have taxes that high. They are more like around $5,000. And comparable towns around Boston had just as high tax bills. Enough with the misinformation already. Jay

What? Show me a house at that price point with that tax bill outside of Hartford proper.

Since Glassdoor is a major jobs website those companies use, I would think that this would mean they are voting the footprint and Hartford is on it. Jay

I think he is referring to Hartford proper, which does have some extreme property taxes

Inside the city of Hartford maybe, but I think that would be a stretch. I don't even think West Hartford would be that high.

I have a very typical 3 bedroom one bath ranch house in Rocky Hill and my tax bill is 4k per year. Assessed value is about 140k. Market value about 210k. Plenty of ranches like this outside of Hartford with similar values.
