CT population is growing faster than Ohio. See the statistics I just posted.

Neither growth rate is anything to jump up and down about.

I am happy you made a move that is good for you. No need to come back here in a veiled attempt to trash Connecticut. Go out, live and enjoy.
I'm not trying to bash CT.

But wait a minute. The population of CT declined for two consecutive years (2014 and 2015), so I don't know where you're coming up with these gains in population for CT.

No, overall population increased. Read the actual data and not the media spin. Jay

I did. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, CT lost 0.07% of its population from 2013 to 2014. That's 2,664 people to be exact. Ohio gained 22,158 people in the same period. So I'm not sure where you or mlassoff are getting your data.

No, it didn't. Like you said, I know how to use Google.

We are still in 2015 soooo unless you can see the future...

Are you referring to this...Connecticut Among Six States Losing Population In Last Year - Hartford Courant article?

It shows a lost of 2,700 people. I find it interesting that the article talks about all the apartments being constructed in Hartford. It's a take on it that didn't cross my mind.

Different source, same numbers..The Day - Connecticut sees population decline for first time since 2008 - News from southeastern Connecticut

I'm glad people are moving. Less competition for jobs and less traffic.

CT did in fact lose population in 2014. Source: U.S Census via the Courant. 0.07%, not 0.7% NEP. Big difference.

That said, if you are looking at a state versus state thing, CT beats Ohio on the whole. Keep in mind southeast Ohio is considered Appalachia, and there are many rust belt cities in OH that continue to bleed population. Columbus is a great story and the future continues to look good for that city.

My source looked at 2010 - 2014...

Lies, damn lies and statistics, right?

Ha, I work in data and you can manipulate it to show any outcome you want.

I apologize for posting that blurb about Amazon in Columbus

2014 is more recent and reflective of current migration and growth trends. 2010 is old and irrelevant. CT is losing population.

Also, property values in central Ohio are rising at a much faster rate than CT.
