Rhode Island. Atlantic Ave. in the Misquamicut section of Westerly. There was a road there. The whole coastline has been reshaped from MA to VA.
Near the top of the picture, where the road curves away from the ocean and then back towards it (like a backwards D). I think that is the state beach with the parking lot covered in sand.

Yup, you're right. And that's the smashed Misquamicut State Beach building/pavilion right in the middle of it.

Lost power at 7:30pm Monday (and next morning didn't even have cell phone/mobile Internet service anymore, still don't have that), but back since 2:30pm (was out so didn't get to it now). Not going to get to the 30 pages of responses that I missed, but hope everyone is safe and doing well....(and those still without power will get it soon).

Go look at the damage in New Canaan. They should have called the National Guard for assistance. IMHO.

Still running on the generator here in the back country. Heard 2 weeks before power is restored, 3 for cable and internet. Using cell as a hotspot for now, but really annoyed that I can't watch the news to keep up with what's going on. Cell doesn't provide enough speed to actually stream video (Sprint..)
