Maybe they lost their power.

I dont have many words today...trying to soak it all in.. Hope everyone manages through this. I'm cleaning up today. Will try to post some stuff later or tomorrow.

If we had more leaves on trees and more rain this would have been so much worse than it is now. Thats why I cant imagine what they went through south of CT.

Glad to see you're OK Cam. Was getting a bit worried seeing the (relatively) long absence since mid-afternoon yesterday!

When I was outside a few times experiencing the 60-70mph wind gusts, I was getting speechless at the utter power of the storm. I had my doors open too so the sound was just insane to hear along with snapping and thumps of trees.

CL&P Outages and UI below. Over 639,000 out. If there was rain in the mix I would of upped my total outage to 1 million in CT alone.

Don't think I'll ever want to live in a place like Cosey Beach after this and Irene. You really, really got to feel for those people.

Seeing the destruction in NYC is just surreal.

Hi all, power out since 5 pm last night in Derby over near the Orange border. Cant find any answers about how long they figure when they will get power back. Cant blame them as they are busy. Wierd, because my mom down the street has power. Thats where I am right now typing this. No cell (T-Mobile) service and no power sucks. Went out to Orange on rte 1....half out towards milford......other direction has power. Trees down everywhere. Job in NY has no power so we are home until tomorrow. Coworker there said its a mess in Westchester.

Merritt7 area of Norwalk seems OK. Got power, but no cable/internet. Hard to get updates on spotty 1x cell signal.

Well perhaps that is why central CT faired pretty well & did not get
so many power outages.

See the western part of the state & east & south did not fare so.wrll.
Hope y'all get your power on soon.

Good day to hang clothes out on the line though!

Still pretty windy out there.
