Reminds me why my Fig Trees come back without covering them. They are next to the house blocking these winds on them.

Looks like it's going to be a cold rain Tues-weds based on the latest models. Good because we need the rain.

However, very cold after the system passes by. Models are showing this cold well into Dec.
  • Tuesday Night Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday Rain likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Wednesday Night A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Thanksgiving Day Mostly sunny, with a high near 35.
  • Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.
  • Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.
  • Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 20.
  • Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 34.

Yes, just checked NWS Albany and they're forecasting rain as far north/inland as there. However, they're showing frigid temps (10 F) after the storm passes. I can see the snow belt areas of WNY getting a double whammy from this storm!

You know ..its odd. You would THINK the snow belts are getting pummeled by this setup. In fact only the Northeast corner of PA is getting any appreciable accumulation. , the rest of the belt area is only dealing with very light snow. Never understood the dynamics of the Lakes. Why is this setup not inducing a major event. ???

So I'm scheduled to fly into JFK on Wednesday afternoon. Do I reschedule for Tues/Thurs, or take my chances with Wednesday?

Assuming your flying into JFK from the south expect delays from the wind and heavy rains. I would reschedule for Tuesday or Thursday just to avoid the headaches of possibly waiting. My guess right now is Tuesday11pm to Wednesday11pm to expect delays.

However if your coming from the south then Tuesday might be the delay day there but I don't think as bad as up here Wed.
