They probably just announce "All In Adventures" to gain some excitement. I still expect them to name a brand clothing store in a month or so,with the opening being in the fall.

Peachtree Mall getting an escape room in former Picadilly space | Columbus Ledger-Enquirer

Major retailer is days away from signing lease.

That's three escape rooms for Columbus, I have to believe that particular market is beyond saturated now.

It's not exactly like those are geared for frequent repeat customers.

They do well enough just to stay open.

Columbus Council recently passed a resolution supporting the Georgia Department of Transportation’s plans to construct two new roundabouts — one at the intersection of Spur 22 and Lynch Road/Technology Parkway and the other at Spur 22 and Macon Road.

I don't think it's a good idea to put a roundabout on a major highway.

I've been thinking for a long time that maybe an interchange at those locations at least the Technology Parkway intersection is feasible. It seems the main reasoning for the roundabouts is safety, but an interchange would be safer for the cars trying to merge on the highway. I don't see how this is going to work on a major highway with a lot of 18 wheelers that are just traveling through town. Columbus council seems to always vote for things without thinking about future development along a corridor. I also want to know what are they doing about maybe Interstate 14 coming here.

Couldn’t agree more. A roundabout in that location is insane. This is a highway where trucks are flying down the road at 70mph. Dumb idea and I hope it never happens. Spend that money on recruiting industry and expanding our existing business parks.

I agree with the business parks point you made. LaGrange just announced a huge business park with international companies. We need to be trying to recruit businesses for the business park on Technology Parkway. I think Columbus 2025 is supposed to be trying to recruit, but I've hardly heard anything from that group.

The Chamber here does a horrible job of recruiting industry. There is so much potential here because of our central location and proximity to Hartsfield. Hopefully Skip Henderson wins the election and turns his focus on economic development because all the current mayor is focused on is silly infrastructure projects (sidewalks, bike trails, roundabouts) that produce nothing. It all starts with economic development.

Totally agree. I like Skip and hope he can be the change to really push the city to aggressively recruit industries here. We have a lot of land so that wouldn't be a problem. We have young people like me who would think about staying here after we get our professional degrees. That would be the workforce for the industries that could come here. Also, economic development would be good for every demographic group in all parts of the town.
