Ed's Cantina Grill is a really great place that serves more towards a organic style of food. While I am not a huge fan of organic their food is fresh and taste awesome. Worth a stop.

Bob & Tony's Pizza is okay but it has no waitstaff and sometimes get's super crowded but still not bad.

I have say my favorite there so far has been Claire's on the Park. Not a greasy spoon but not organic based like Ed's. It does get packed but worth the wait imo.

These are the few we tried this summer on two visit's to Estes.
Sad. Nicky's was once known for incredibly good breakfasts in the '70s and '80s. Great way to begin an adventurous day in RMNP. Should have stuck with what they did best. I'm betting ownership has changed since then as well.

Wink Breakfast

Last I was there, the Big Horn Restaurant served a good solid breakfast at a reasonable price.

They are located next Elkhorn Avenue at the west end of town in a small shopping center (west of the Silver Moon Inn, but before the Elkhorn Lodge & Guest Ranch).

I heard from the person who recommended Nicky's that they use to have some of the best cuts of steak around. But we didn't really get anything good from them except for some clam chowder at their salad bar. Steak was really bad and not a good cut (heck I am not even a steak guy), really poor salad bar with fly's everywhere and some disgusting bathrooms. They didn't have one thing going for them except for location.

That little Italian place just across from Poppy's due West isn't bad, not great but nice summer outdoor seating along the creek. Watched a stray Big horn sheep and a coyote from our table a few years back.
