We are leaving beautiful CO!!
DH has secured a job at Langley AFB in Virginia and I have accepted a job at a high school in Williamsburg, VA. We are leaving strictly for DHs job and will miss COS a lot. I wanted to tell you all that you are doing a great job on the COS threads. Your info is always accurate and very helpful. I will pop in occasionally to see what is going on here, but as you can bet, I have been lurking more in the Hampton Roads, VA threads trying to learn everything I can before we pack up and move mid-late July. I must say, after visiting other state threads, I think we have it going on!
As for now, wish my family the best of luck, pray that our house sells along with our last 2 ATVs, the kitchen remodel and other things we are doing to our house goes smoothly, and the trip out there is uneventful.
Thank you!
Colorado Springs rocks!!!!!!

Really hate to see you go, you've given marvelous insights into the schools here; our readers have benefited from your honest straightforward advice by someone who knows the scene from the inside.

I know Tidewater Virginia fairly well, a great place to have a boat for fishing and crabbing. Great seafood there, you'll enjoy a different world of excellent dining, both fancy and casual. BBQ and ribs are also big there.

Thanks for the kind words and all the great contributions to our forum.

Colorado Springs will miss you! I know Virginia is vastly different, but I know it's a beautiful place, too. Good luck on your move and all the things that go along with that!

If you love to grow things, you'll like it there. You won't need a 100 MPH greenhouse to do it either

I was stationed at Langley back in the early 70's, had a great time doing wheelies on the flightline with the dispatch tractor

Hope you have a great trip!

Good luck on your move froggin! I was never stationed at Langley but went TDY there for 6 weeks. I had a really good time and that western side of Virginia is beautiful. My best to your family!

What's a 100 MPH greenhouse?

Thanks for the kid words, Froggin. Sorry you have to go. I did not like living anywhere I lived in VA, but part of that was due to my own bad attitude toward the place. I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of ways to enjoy it. Have a safe move.

A Greenhouse that can handle 100 MPH winds (not one that travels at 100MPH ), severe hail, storms, flying cows, and just about anything Mother Nature can throw at it. I'm about to build one here, but if I were living in Virginia, I would be able to get away with something a LOT less Heavy-Duty. That's not to say you don't get high winds in Virginia at times, but it's not "standard" like it is here.
