EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Following in your father's footsteps by attending the same university is one thing. But moving into the same dorm room as your dad?
see, if I was that school's president, I don't think I want it to be known we haven't painted or fixed the broken window latch in 30 YEARS! I hope they changed the mattress at least!
It makes me think back to my freshman room. Hmm, let's see, there was the one wall peppered with little holes that resulted from the number of times people missed the dart board we had mounted there. Then there was the obscenity that some prankster from our floor wrote on our door with mustard, which blended in pretty well with the color of the door once the mustard dried, so it was hard to see if you weren't looking for it, but which showed up very well after a maid tried to scrape it off, but scraped big white scratches in the door along with removing the dried mustard. Hmm, I wonder whether either of those mementos is still there. If that window latch at MI State is any indication of how often these things are attended to, just maybe they are still there. It would almost be kind of nice to think so. But I agree that it would be good if they had at least changed the mattresses since then.
