Fans of the Florida Gators shouldn't celebrate too much. Remember your homecoming game this year? You very nearly were upset by a Sun Belt conference team, UL Lafayette, a team you PAID to be your homecoming opponent. The Sun Belt isn't the easy pushover conference it once was. Ranked teams have had a hard time against some of the teams in this conference. Oh, and if you watched last year's New Orleans Bowl between UL Lafayette and San Diego State, look forward to this year's New Orleans Bowl because UL Lafayette accepted the invitation to return again. After several decades of no bowls, they're going to a bowl two years in a row.

Even the B1G is playing some defense...
I know Stanford was beat by ND but I think they beat both teams today, but you right I guess to a point. Oregon could play a little defese..as well as get a kicker. ND isn't playing in the Natty if Maldanado makes a kick, any kick in with in the 35 yard line. Hats off to ND, I hate them, and hope Georga beats Bama, and then slaughters them.

I know ND isn't a vaunted SEC team but you know we have probably the largest fanbase in college football right? You know we haven't played in a game of this magnitude since the Reagan Administration right? So Notre Dame fans will show up. Hell from what I've heard it was a 60/40 split USC/ND in the Coliseum last night.

that's because "Most others" are ignorant and don't understand the game. When an SEC team beats a nonconference opponent, it benefits all SEC schools.

haha, right. biggest, maybe, but also the lowest quality. the typical notre dame fan has never been to south bend, and also roots for the lakers, the yankees, duke basketball, Man U, etc.

And then the REAL notre dame fans... well...they are an abomination

Ha not even an ignorant and completely garbage post like this can bring ruin this moment. Every team in college football is looking up to Notre Dame. Go on cheering for a whole conference...that's a "high quality" fan right there.

When you assume a team is a cupcake sometimes the game is close. Congrats on your payment and loss. Every team pays schools like yours.

No one travels like Bama other than Nebraska. USC fanbase is not very good. Bama fan will skip rent and car payments to make it to a national championship game. They will have more people in Atlanta than UGA will.

Bandwagon fans don't travel. Miami had a huge national fanbase when they were good but they didn't travel.
