The only difference between Pelini and a child is that after 7 years, the kid usually quits shÃttÃng the bed.

Bo's Record is 5-19 angst top 25 teams. 9 wins a year looks good on the surface, but there's more to it. Anyone can rack up 9 wins against weak competition.
Very telling stats. I think this alone should be convincing enough that he's not capable getting the program close to true national relevance. Bye Bye Bo - Bye Bye Happiness - Hello Loneliness, I Think You're gonna be Fired - Bye Bye Bo Goodbye.
The Bo Pelini supporters are back in full force after a comeback win against an Iowa team that they sound have blown out. I hope the win doesn't save his job. Eight years is long enoughto know that he isn't capable of taking this team from slightly above average to great.
Y'all interested in Scott Frost? He doesn't have a ton of experience, but it sounds like he is well regarded at Nebraska and Oregon's offense has continued to do well even after Chip Kelly left.
There's rumors about Jerry Kill or Colorado State's head coach. I don't know if Frost is experienced enough to make a jump to head coach, but he's on a lot of people's radar as well.

Jim McElwain has a $7.5 million buyout. Nebraska can afford it, but they'll have to pay that on top of Mac's salary and whatever they still owe Bo. After watching the Huskers poach Tim Miles a couple years ago, I'm hoping they go in a different direction.
McElwain has to be among the top candidates if not primary candidate. Tressel has a better track record but comes with the backage. I don't see NU going there. Frost is just too unproven for a program looking for a coach that can turn this into a top 10 team that competes for Big Ten titles.
It may be expensive, but given the monumental nature of the move they're making, it may prove more expensive in the long run if they avoid someone because of that.
Tim Miles has proven to be a good investment thus far.

You're not getting Jim Tressel. He's the president of Youngstown State University now. I doubt he will ever go back into coaching.
You might consider Tressel's interim successor, Luke Fickell, if you want a Buckeye.
