Whatever it will be, it doesn't sound like good growth. Hopefully I am wrong.

Tasteyville Pizza is closed. We passed by yesterday & there is a for lease sign on the property.

This place had some questionable practices. I never ate there even though I tried to. One night after work I went in to get a plate to-go. I was told "we don't do buffet to-go, you can order an entree if you like."

Don't get me wrong here, the people were very nice and so was the inside but to have hot food sitting on the buffet and not allow someone to make a plate and pay a per pound price...really? They didn't get my $ that night but the Chinese place that does allow buffet to-go sure did.

Anyway, wish the best to their replacement. I still miss Fudds

I see that ECU has cut down all trees in those gravel parking lots on 14th street in between the football stadium & the dorms...are they planning on paving those two lots? Sure would look a lot nicer.

Also - a mini-mall? Humm...I hope it turns out better than what is in my mind if that is what comes to fruition. I also read in the article that the Circuity City stores has had multiple offers for businesses wanting to operate there, but the owners are still searching for the 'right business' for that location.

The article in the Reflector about the Home Depot site seemed to indicate that the building would be subdivided, but to me that doesn't mean that it will be a mall. It would make sense to me to divide it into a couple of smaller big-box store fronts rather than a mall.

Tastyville was doomed to close from the day it opened. When I read the hot dish & the quotes from the owner I figured it wouldn't last any longer than a year max. I think it's been closed for at least a month now if not longer than that.

I never wanted to try that place, any restaurant with tasty and ville in it, gets no respect from me. lol but anyways I'm with whoever said they wish Fudruckers was back, if they renovate that damn theatre so it could actually draw people then maybe they could open back up.
