Hot Dang, an Indian Restaurant has opened in New Bern. Called the Bay Leaf. Any reviews? We have to eat down some turkey, a lot of turkey, before we go. Now, if we could get a Sheetz with fountain Cheerwine, we'd be set.

Do you think this Indian restaurant will "make it" in New Bern?

If it is good, I'll keep it in business. If not really good, no chance.

We ate there today for the lunch buffet...excellent, brightly-flavored selections, wonderful, friendly service and charming decor. We left happy in body, mind and taste buds. I do hope Bay Leaf succeeds in New Bern...we took a dinner menu home with us and found they have a great selections of apps and dinner entrees, so we'll be back. I was especially happy to see a nice variety of interesting vegetarian dishes I want to try....

The restaurant was mobbed for lunch so I think they are well-launched...

PS...the mango lassi (yogurt/mango pulp) is wonderful...
