Just curious as to how "Topsail" is pronounced?

Le roi is correct. It's one word. You kind of slide off the "S" and into the "L". "Topsul" would be another stab at it.
An incorrect pronounciation would be "Top-Sale"

I say Topsale every time (we are from Atlanta not natives unfortunately) I reference it and each and every DH corrects me! I try to say it correctly but I visualize the spelling of words when I say them and it definitely spelled Topsail!

Drives DH nuts

I always said it TOP-sull. It's spelled "Top-SALE", but it's not pronounced that way.

I pronounce all of these lazy tongued words correctly. It would be Top-sale for me. It's Green-ville, not Green-vule. When my son in law came home from work one day he said that they had worked in Rally. I said I didn't know where Rally was. He said yeah you do, it's the capital of the state. Sir Walter Rally would be turning over in his grave. :-)
