I have been in Rocky River on a few occasions lately and I've noticed something that never really caught my eye before. The city is far more diverse now then it was say even 2 years ago, let alone 5. It is mainly white but I noticed a lot of hispanics, blacks, and arabics. Particularly, along Wooster Rd, River Oaks Apartments, Center Ridge Road, and then all along Westway heading towards West Park and Lakewood. I haven't been able to get a recent census all are very old.

Does anybody have a recent census in the last year or 2? on Greatschools.net they state the schools are 92% white with 8% minority.. which if memory serves correctly was at about 98% white a few years ago.

I also found that Section 8 housing is available in the city:

Nevertheless - I love the city and would like to relocate there someday.

I do not have an updated census but I live in Rocky River and it is really a wonderful place to live. After growing up in NYC I welcome more diversity. The schools are really good, we always feel safe, even at night and it is close to Downtown where we love to go.

The closer you to get Lakewood the more diverse you will be, the closer to Bay and such the less.
