I had my internet through my cable service, which at the time was adelphia. I think they became Time Warner or something. But it was great! It was fast and I had no problems. This was like a little over a year ago. I was paying $80 for cable and internet a month.

I used to have Adelphia, now they switched to roadrunner. the speed went way up.i use to have for download below 300kb, no I get a bit above 700kb.that's very good, especially for the same price.I'm paying $25 just for the internet. DSL is about 4 times faster then dial-up, about 200kb, but if you get thru SBC, it might still be $12.95.I am not sure about that rate. But you'll need a land line in order to get DSL, which is about $35 for unlimited.I don't have a land line, just a cell phone, and it works fine to me this way.
